Heavyocity Oblivion Drums – Percussion for Scoring & Post-Production
Scoring Percussion That Carries the Scene
A great score doesn’t just support the picture — it drives it. And nothing drives a scene like percussion with genuine weight. Heavyocity Oblivion Drums, created with composer David Levy (DOOM Eternal, gen:LOCK, Justice League), is the percussive companion to Heavyocity’s Oblivion aggression designer: a hybrid drum instrument built for composers and mixers who need drums that translate from the writing room to the dub stage. 30,361 samples, 99 presets, 504 tempo-synced loops, and 864 sources — all recorded, layered, and processed to sit in a modern orchestral and hybrid mix.
Three Instruments for Three Stages of the Cue
Kit Designer — Start with the drums themselves. A 16-voice layout with 6 round robins per voice and dynamic layering, switchable between four flavors: Hyper, Monster, Electro, and Obscene. 18 kicks, 28 snares, 16 hi-hats, 36 toms and percussion, 24 cymbals, 111 reverses, and 86 impacts and dives give you everything from intimate pulse to full assault.
Ensemble Designer — Build the room. 360 layered drum and scoring sources arranged in a virtual mixer with 3D stage positioning and 5 mic positions, so you can place your ensemble the way a scoring mixer would. The Punish knob adds Heavyocity’s signature aggression when the cue demands it — dial it back for tension, push it for the hit.
Loop Designer — Finish the arrangement. 3 banks of 12 tempo-synced loops with mix-and-match stems (low/mid/high): 216 core loops, 216 experimental loops, and 72 rhythmic pulses, plus designer keys for stacking a full percussive bed in minutes. Sketch fast, refine later — the loops are production-ready.
Built for the Modern Scoring Workflow
Scoring deadlines don’t wait for sound design sessions. Oblivion Drums respects that: the 99 presets are organized by application and intensity, the loops sync to picture tempo instantly, and the stems let you strip a loop down to just its low-end pulse or its high-frequency detail to fit around dialogue and effects. Because it runs in the free Kontakt 7 Player, it drops into any composer’s template with zero friction — no full Kontakt license required. And with NKS 2.0 integration, preset browsing and key parameters map directly to Komplete Kontrol and Maschine hardware for fast auditioning during spotting sessions.
