Maniac Audio Bundle

Description

The Whole Dark Series, One Purchase

Maniac Audio built its reputation one processor at a time: a Dark Series of compressors, EQs and effects modelled on the hardware every engineer knows, but coded from scratch in modern C++ with oversampled DSP and transformer modelling. The Maniac Audio Bundle gathers all 23 of them into a single mixing and mastering toolkit with one consistent dark interface — a full outboard rack that lives in your plugin folder.

A Compressor for Every Job

Thirteen of the 23 plugins are dynamics processors, and they are not variations on one circuit. Dark76 is an 1176-style FET design with four revision modes. Dark2A and Dark3A recreate the LA-2A tube and LA-3A solid-state optical levellers. DarkVar is a variable-mu tube bus compressor with dual-mono operation. DarkComp and DarkLumi work the optical mix-bus angle, while five G-bus designs — DarkNova, DarkVelar, DarkStype, DarkStypePro and the Carnhill-transformer DarkMbuss — deliver console glue at several levels of control. DarkLim is the true-peak finishing limiter with LUFS matching, and DarkGate is a drum gate with instrument profiles and spectral de-bleed.

EQ With Brains and With Valves

DarkQPro is the modern flagship: 24 bands of dynamic/spectral EQ with mid/side and EQ match. DarkQMg and DarkQMg2 add 16 analogue console saturation voicings and transformer colour. DarkPassive recreates the Pultec EQP-1A tube passive program EQ, and DarkTube offers a second valve passive design for broad, warm strokes.

Space and Front End

DarkLXPro is a 16-line FDN algorithmic reverb with eight algorithms, shimmer and freeze. DarkDelay handles multi-style echo with tape wobble, dual lines and ping-pong. DarkPre brings a library of mic-pre and console models with transformer colour, DarkMic re-voices your recorded microphone into classic studio mics, and DarkBuss completes the channel toolset.
