Wavetables: where the real synthesis happens
The 60+ vocal wavetables are the technical core of VOXIS. A vocal wavetable lets you treat formants and vowel morphs as modulation destinations — sweep a filter across a vowel, FM a vocal wavetable with a sine, stack two detuned vocal oscillators and hear a choir emerge from pure synthesis. Because these are native Serum 2 wavetables, every one of the synth’s modulation sources, warp modes and filters applies. It is a genuinely deep synthesis playground that happens to be made of voice.
For engineers, this is the interesting part: vocal material has complex, time-varying harmonic content that static waveforms cannot replicate. As wavetables, that complexity becomes playable and automatable.
Instruments, not just presets
The 20 multisample vocal-chop instruments deserve attention because they solve the oldest problem with vocal chops: rigidity. A chopped acapella is frozen — wrong key, wrong timing, wrong vibe, and you are stuck. These instruments are mapped and playable, so the phrase follows your MIDI: your key, your rhythm, your pitch bends. The 500+ presets then show what that flexibility enables across leads, basses, pads, keys and textures, each with macros that expose the musically important parameters first.
